Sub. Corrigendum to Circular No.34 of 2012 issued vide Board’s letter ©
No.05/TGIV/10/SAN/ 32/Pay & use Policy
Vide para 2(VI) of Board’s policy circular No. 34 dated 05.06.2012, the period of
concession agreement of deluxe pay & use toilets under BOT scheme has been stipulated as
15 years, However, vide Railways Board’s letter No. 2011/LML/18/17 dated 24.01.2012(copy
enclosed) regarding approval of Cabinet for permitting use of Railway land for Railways core
activities and. other related purposes, it has been mentioned that grant-of license will be
initially restricted for limited period of five years, except in case of Mechanized laundries
where it will be for maximum 15 years and ‘in case of leasing to Govt. Departments/PSUs
where it will be 35 years as per policy of Ministry of Railways
The matter has been examined in this office and it is advised that Cabinet's approval as
communicated vide Land & Amenities Directorate’s letter may be followed for any
contract(s) initiated after 24th January, 2012 for Deluxe Pay & Use toilets and also for Normal .
Pay & Use toilets if leasing of land is involved
