As per extant rules, Para 242.1 (ii) of IRCA Coaching tariff No.26 Part] (vol.D, “Season tickets are issued up to 150 kms only. Season tickets for more than 150 kms are issued only on those sections where they were being issued prior to 1951 (except on those. sections where they have been withdrawn due to lack of demand)”. 2. Ministry of Railways have now decided to delegate powers to General Managers of Zonal Railways to decide exemptions in the distance limit beyond 150 kms subject to maximum distance limit upto 160 kms for issue of season tickets over certain sections.
