+

With a view to improve the functioning of vehicle parking stands at railway
staions and to bring transparency in realization of parking charges,
computerised/machine generated parking slips should be introduced for parking of
cars at major railway stations. Efforts should be made to cover all category ‘A’

stations at least.

At those stations where there are proper entry and exit gates in the parking
lots, computerised parking facility may be introduced ic. at the entry gate. The
computerised parking slips indicating the date and time of parking, vehicle number
and parking rates in different slabs should be issued and money should be collected

at the exit gate at the time of departure.

At those stations where there are no proper entry and exit gates, the parking
contractor may issue parking slips through the hand held terminals which should
show the date and time of parking, vehicle number and parking rates in different

slabs.

The above procedure may be adopted for fresh contracts and a suitable
addition may be incorporated in the Specimen Agreement already circulated to afl
