Sub:- Installation of water coolers etc. at stations etc., by private individual and parties.

Ref:- Board's D.O. letter No.94/TG(I)/1/P dt.18.6.1994.

In para 6 of his Inspection Note No.2007/CRB/TN/MRVC/Mumbai dated 14,3.2007 recorded after visit to Mumbai, the Chairman, Railway Board has mentioned as under:-

"Para.6.0 Water booths/water coolers/Benches or shelters donated by charity organisaton and in use at Railway Stations need to be replaced on expiry of codal life. Since DRMs and GMs have been given adequate powers and funds for provision of passenger amenities, Railways be directed not to permit any more installation of such equipments on Railway PFs and station buildings."

Ministry of Railways desire that necessary instructions may be issued to all concerned accordingly.

विषय: - निजी व्यक्तियों और पार्टियों द्वारा स्टेशनों आदि पर वाटर कूलर आदि लगाना.

संदर्भ - बोर्ड का 18.6.99 का अर्थ शासकीय पत्र सं.94/ठी जी ()/1/पी. ~

मुम्बई के दौरे के बाद रिकॉर्ड किए गए अपने 14.3.2007 के निरीक्षण नोट संख्या 2007/सीआरबी/टीएन/एमआरवबीसी/मुम्बई के पैरा 6 में, अध्यक्ष रेलवे बोर्ड ने नीचे दिए गए अनुसार उल्लिखित किया है :-

"पैरा 6.0: सहायतार्थ संगठनों द्वारा दान किए गए बॉटर बूथ/वॉटर कूलरों/बैंचो अथबा शेल्टरों जिन्हें रेलवे स्टेशनों पर उपयोग किया जा रहा है. उन्हें उनकी कोडल अवधि को समाप्ति पर बदलें जाने की आवश्यकता है. चूंकि मंडल रेल प्रबंधकों और महाप्रंबंधकों को यात्री सुविधाओं की व्यवस्था करने के लिए पर्याप्त शक्तियां और धन मुहैया किया गया है, अतः रेलों को निर्देश दिया जाता है कि रेलवे प्लेटफार्म और स्टेशन भवनों पर इस प्रकार के उपकरण और अधिक लगाने की अनुमति न दी जाए."

रेल मंत्रालय अपेक्षा करता है कि तदुनुसार सर्वसंबंधितों को आवश्यक अनुदेश जारी किए जाएं.
