Sub: Printing of option of catering on Reservation Requisition Form for
Rajdhani/Shatabdi/Duronto Trains.
Ref: This office letter no. 2015/TG-III/63/4 dated 26.07.2017

Instructions have been issued vide this office letter referred to above wherein it has been
advised that optional catering service shall be introduced on all those
Rajdhani/Shatabdi/Duronto and other similar trains (except Gatiman Exp.) where catering
charges are part of the ticket fare and are presently under the management of IRCTC. This
scheme shall be implemented from 01.08.2017 onwards for the Zero booking date or
commencement of ARP whichever is earlier for an initial period of 6 months subject to mid-
term review of the scheme after 3 months.
2. In view of above, it has been decided to modify the reservation form to include a column
in the reservation requisition form i.e. “Meal Request - Yes/ No” in the choice column so as to
capture and reflect the passengers’ choice. A copy of revised reservation/cancellation requisition
form is enclosed. Necessary action may be taken accordin gly under intimation to all concerned,
