No.TCII/2304/07 (.)  Ministry of Railways have reviewed the matter regarding 
printing and stocking of Printed Card Tickets (PCTs) at those stations where UTS 
has been introduced (.)  Ministry of Railways have decided that  (i) when UTS, 
with thin clients and printers, is introduced at a particular station, the concerned 
station should not send indents for supply of PCTs for those pairs of stations that 
are covered in UTS, (ii) after introduction of UTS, the existing stock of PCTs 
should be kept at the station for 3 months so that these can be used in 
emergency and thereafter the stock of PCTs should be destroyed in accordance 
with the existing rules/procedure and (iii) after three months, BPTs should be 
used in emergency (.)  Necessary instructions may be issued to all concerned
