Sub.:-Revised Catering Policy 2005.
Ref: - Board's letter no. 2005/TG-IIl/600/5 dated 21.12.2005,
The following correction may be incorporated in the Revised Catering Policy 2005 dated
21.12.2005: -
Correction no. 1:
Para 10.4 of the policy may now be read as
"Minimum licence fee will be fixed as 12% of the estimated annual sales turnover for static units,
mobile units of Ordinary Mail/Express
trains & premium super fast trains, and 15% for Rajdhani /
Shatabdi trains on annual sales turnover based on actual occupancy figures certified by the Train
Superintendent. At the time of renewal of minor unit & food plaza/food court licences and award of
new licences against existing units, licence fee should be enhanced based on actual sales turnover of
the unit subject to a minimum of 10% increase over the prevailing 1icencefee of the unit. For D, E &
F categories stations the licence fee is in addition governed by Commercial Circular NO.51 of2005
issued vide letter no. 2005/TG-IW600/41 dated 09.12.2005."

Para 10.5of the policy may now be read as
"The period for all units allotted by tender process will be 5 year,. There will be no.extension
for majo.r units. Fo.r General mino.r units o.neextensio.n upto. 3 years can be co.nsidered subject
to.satisfacto.ry perfo.rmance and payment o.fall dues. Fo.r Licences given o.nthe basis o.fcalling
o.fapplications (Special mino.r units) the renewal will be every five years in case of units o.fD, E
& F catego.ries statio.ns
and it will be every 3 years for Special minor units at A, B & C
categories stations
subject
to. satisfacto.ry perfo.rmance
and payment
o.f all Railway dues
including licence fees. Fo.r fo.o.dplazas the tenure will be 9 years and o.neextensio.n o.f3 years
can be given o.n satisfacto.ry perfo.rmance. The tenure fo.r AVMs will be 3 years with no.
extensio.n. Wherever renewal is permissible (as indicated in this para) it sho.uld be do.ne o.nly
o.n withdrawal
o.f Co.urt cases, if any, against the railways and payment o.f railway dues and
arrears. "
This issues with the concurrence of Finance Directorate of Railway Board.
