Initially, 61 stations were selected for this purpose. Detailed guidelines were issued vide 80805, letter _No.99/TG-IV/10/PA/Model Station dated 4.6.1999 advising the’ कि gee ge y various passenger ‘mehities to" be“upgraded: atthe: selected stations.< With the passage of time, the number of made! station fas gone up to 204. These stations include all the ‘A’ category stations and also such stations belonging to 8 to ‘e’ categories. It is felt that the upgradation of amenities at the selected model station should vary from station to station and should be linked to the category of the station to which It belongs Le. the stations belonging to ‘a’ category should be provided with much improved facilities as compared to the station which falls in other category. in the light of the above, the matter has been reviewed and It has been decided that the desirable amenities as communicated vide letter No.94/LM(ByY2/175 dated 13.9.99 be treated aS a yardstick for the purpose of providing upgraded amenities at the model station. Since the existing list of desirable amenities does not cover all the amenities, which are required to be upgraded at the selected model station, the list has been re-cast and the revised list is enclosed for information. hf re oR Vigne oie!
