Sub: Scheme for frequent Travellers (SOFT).
Please refer to this office letter of even number dated 21/02/2005
(Commercial Circular No.04 of 2005) enclosing therewith the features of
SOFT. In para 7 of the scheme, it has been mentioned that as an incentive
to subscribe to the scbeme, the members will be allowed free entry in
station platform without purchasing platform ticket by showing SOFT
card.
Complaints are, however, being received wherein the holders of
SOFT card are being harassed for entry in railway platform without
purchasing platform tickets.
It is desired that suitable guidelines may be issued to all concerned
to allow free entry to SOFT members to station platform without
purchasing platform ticket by showing the SOFT card. Any complaint on
this account will be viewed seriously.
