Instructions
already
exist
that
message
should
be conveyed
to the
passengers,
through
announcement
that
they
should
not
hand
over
their
ticket(s) to anyone at platforms or in tr:ains other than ticket checking staff in
uniform.

However, Central Ticket Checking Squad/Railway Board, CCMSquad of the
Zonal Railwa'Yand Anti-Fraud Squad are exempted
from wearing uniform during
checks. Some incidents where passengers
have been cheated
by unscrupulous
element posing themselves
as TIEs have come to notice.

Board therefore
desire that
instructions
to the general
public should be
incorporated
in the Zonal Railway Time-Tables warning the general public about
such fraud and to ask for I/Cards of checking staff where there iS~a doubt about
the genuinene~s of the staff.
