Sub: Yardsticks for creation of posts of ticket checking staff,
availability of resting facilities ‘their Improvement and
other relavant Issues.

A Director Level Committee was constituted by Ministry of Railways
(Railway Board) to examine the yardsticks for creation of posts of ticket
checking staff, availability of resting facilities/ their improvement and other
relevant issues. Based on the report of the Committee, Board (MT, MS, FC
and CRB) have decided that:
{i) Restroom facilitles along with catering facilities be provided to
commercia! staff on the pettern of drivers and guards.
Divisions may make necessary arrangements to provide
catering facilities by outside agencies on individual payment
basis.
(ii) Minimum checking staff be posted at stations which is just
sufficient to man the gates.
2. Board desire that the above decisions may be implemented and its
compliance reported to this office at an early date.
