Sub: Refund of tickets issued through ATVMs.

At present whenever a passenger purchases a smart card for purchasing
tickets through ATVMs, a flat 5% (except in case of season tickets) usage
value is given to the passenger over and above the denomination of the card
value. Clarification has been sought by zonal Railways regarding grant of
refund on the tickets issued through ATVMs on the authority of these smart
cards

2. The matter has been examined in consultation with Finance Directorate _
and it has been decided that a provision may be made in the software that at the
time of refunding of fare on cancellation of ticket issued through ATVMs on
the authority of smart card, the following deductions may be made if the ticket
_ is presented for cancellation within prescribed time limit:-

(a) Clerkage charges.

७) 4.762% of the fare in lieu of bonus amount given at the time of
topping up of smart card.

3. Accordingly, instructions have been. issued to CRIS. for making
necessary modifications in the software and advising date of effect to all zonal
~ Railways

4. Necessary instructions may be issued to all concerned accordingly.

5. _ This issues with the concurrence of Finance Directorate of Ministry of
’ Railways

विषय: एटीवीएम के जरिए जारी की गई टिकटों का रिफंड ।

इस समय जब भी कोई यात्री एटीवीएम के जरिए टिकट खरीदने के लिए स्मार्ट कार्ड
खरीदता है, तो यात्री को कार्ड की कीमत के अंकित मूल्य के अतिरिक्त फ्लैट 5%
(सीज़न टिकटों को छोड़कर) का उपयोग मूल्य (usage value) प्रदान किया जाता है। इन स्मार्ट
कार्डों के प्राधिकार पर एटीवीएम के जरिए जारी की गई टिकटों पर रिफंड प्रदान करने के बारे में
ज़ोनल Yet द्वारा स्पष्टीकरण मांगा गया है।

2. वित्त निदेशालय के परामर्श से इस मामले की जांच की गई है और यह विनिश्चय किया
