(RAILWAY BOARD)
NO.2008/TGI/10/P/Refund New Delhi, 20. 06.2008
Chief Commercial Mangers,
All Zonal Railways.
(COMMERCIAL CIRCULAR NO. 43 /2008)
Sub: Handling e-ticket refund cases.
In order to simplify the process and to make the refund process more expeditious
for the customers, IRCTC has come up with a TDR application which will process the
TDR cases for refund of e and i tickets online.
In this system the customer himself will fill his travel details in the proforma
given online instead of writing the mail. Customer will be filling application online in
the prescribed format and registration of refund will be done directly in the database
itself. Thus instead of the usual three documents, the railways will now get only two
documents for processing the refund. This will stop the paper transactions between
railway and IRCTC. This system is likely to start w.e.f.01.07.2008. Zonal Railway
may issue suitable instructions to all concerned for processing refund cases accordingly.
