Please refer to this office letter of even number dated 24-05-2002

(Commercial Circular No.41 of 2002) on the subject quoted above enclosing therewith a copy of Joint Procedure Order for reservation on Internet through IRCTC. The matter has been further reviewed and it has been decided to extend Internet Ticketing facility by authorising

1. Corporates to book Internet railway tickets for their employees.

2. Banks for booking of Internet railway tickets for their account holders.

A Joint Procedure Order for Internet booking by Corporates and

Banks through IRCTC is enclosed herewith. IRCTC will follow the Joint Procedure Orders issued vide Commercial Circular No. 41 of 2002 and 41 of 2003.

1 The procedure orders issued vide Board’s letter.-No.2002/TG- 1/20/P/IRCTC/ITS (Commercial Circular No. 41 of 2002 dated

24.05.2002) should be strictly followed. However, the foliowing changes are made to permit the booking by Corporates for their employees and by Banks for their account holders,

2 The facility for booking. of Internet tickets. for employees and account holders shail be extended to CORPORATES & BANKS on their registration with IRCTC on mutually agreed terms and conditions as prescribed by the IRCTC. To control misuse of the facility by unscrupulous elements, IRCTC shall impose such restrictions as are considered necessary on the number of tickets to be purchased by each registered customer and also monitor individual transaction closely.

3. A formal agreement covering all aspects will be entered into with Corporates and banks before such booking commences. IRCTC will develop the terms and conditions for. entering into such agreement. The same facility will be made available to all eligible Corporates and Banks who are willing to accept the same terms and conditions of IRCTC.

4, Corporates will register their employees with IRCTC.

5. Banks will register their account holder with IRCTC.

6. Minimum qualifying benchmarks will be set which Corporates and Banks have to meet, to be considered eligible for this service.

7. No Banks other than those of Scheduied Commercial Banks will be permitted to book railway ticket.

8. The Corporates and Banks will be identified and authenticated by the IRCTC system electronically to ensure that only the authorised Corporate/Bank is accessing the site.

9. The limit of four transactions per month on each card which was imposed by Clause 3 of the Joint Procedure Order issued by Commercial Circular No. 41, will not apply to the bookings made by Corporates for their employees and Banks for their account holders.
