Please refer to Board’s letter of even number dated 99.09.2010 on the above
subject vide which Zonal Railways were advised to select instrumental music, which they .
wanted to play in Rajdhani/Shatabdi Express trains, from All India Radio Website and
furnish the details of the same to Board for consideration.
2. The subject issue has been examined in consultation with Prasar Bharati (All Indian
Radio) and they have now permitted Indian Railways to playback the instrumental music
from the AIR Library, in Rajdhani/Shatabdi and Duronto Express trains.
3, The two-CDs, ‘as prepared and provided by All India Radio, containing recording of
Hindustani and. Carnatic Musics, drawn from Akashvani Sangeet Library alongwith list of
artists and instruments being. played by them, is enclosed for playing back the same in
Rajdhani/Shatabdi and Duronto Express trains, the primary maintenance of which ts under
that Railway.
3... Itis desired that while playing the music, the time of the day and the region through
which the train passes may be kept in view.
