Managing Director/CRIS, Chanakya Puri, New Delhi (COMMERCIAL CIRCULAR NO. 33 OF 2612) Sub: Appointment of facilitators for issuing of unreserved tickets through ATVMs KK Please refer to this office letter of even number dated 23.11,2011 (CC no, 60 of 2011) on the subject quoted above wherein detailed guidelines regarding appointment _ of facilitators for issuing unreserved tickets through ATVMs were advised to Central ~ & Western Railways and copy of which was endorsed to zonal Railways 2. Requests have been received from various zonal Railways seeking permission to appoint facilitators for issuing of unreserved tickets through ATVMs on their Railway. Central Railway has also raised the issue regarding phasing out of CVMs. 3, The matter has been examined in consultation with Finance and it has been decided as under:- a) All zonal Railways (where ATVMs have been installed) can appoint facilitators for issuing of unreserved tickets through ATVMs up to 31.03.2013 on the terms and conditions mentioned in Commercial Circular no, 60 of 2011 with the exception mentioned in sub-para (b) below. b) Only retired Railway employees of any department should be employed as facilitators and the maximum age limit for appointment of such facilitators has been increased to 65 years. — c) Central Railway and Western Railway should chalk out a time bound programme for phasing out the CVMs by 31.03.2013. 4, Necessary instructions may be issued to all concerned.
