During the preventive check, conducted by Vigilance Directorate of
Railway Board, it was detected that on those trains which has been defined on 2 |
PRS system, reservation clerks use their discretion fo give waitlist/confirmed
ticket to passengers by having access to either of the 2 PRS. For example- in
case if 2903 Golden Temple Mail for issuing ticket ex NDLS to ASR, ‘the booking
clerk take access of 2903 Golden Temple Mail defined on Western Railway ie.
2903 for issuing a waitlist ticket even if confirmed accommodations available in
the Gulden Temple Mail defined on Northern Railway PRS ie. 2903D. The
solution to this problem lies in defining one train only on one PRS as mentioned
in new reservation policy circulated to all zonal railways vide letter dated
99/TG.1/20/P dated 21.4.99

Since defining one train on one PRS will take some more time, it has been
decided! ihat this instructions may be issued to all concerned to access the train

- train defined a their PRS is full, they con access the train defined*on the

other PRS if confirmed accommodation is available on that PRS. If a train is
waitlisted on both the PRS, the. operator will give waitlist in the train defined on
their PRS only. Necessary instructions may please be issued accordingly and
receip® of this letter acknowledged. .
