Sub: Issue of season tickets through Internet by mCTC in
Mumbai Suburban System.

In pursuance of announcement made by Hon'bleMR
while
presentingthe RailwayBudget for the financialyear 2005~2006,.'tHe
matterregardingissulligof seasontickets,throughInternetin Mumbai
Suburban System was examined in consultation with Central &
Western Railways,IRCTC and CRIS.
Accordingly, it has been
decided to implement this project in Mumbai Suburban System
though IRCTC as a pilot project.
.The process for paymept to
Railways by mCTC for season booking ticket through Internet win be
same as that in the case of Internet ticketing advised vide this offiCe
Circular No.41/2002 da~d 24.5.2002. IRCTC shall deposit payment..
by cheque to FA&CAO, Central Rai.way for Rs.50,00,000/- which
will be a lump sum deposit which shall be recouped periodically' as
.and when the deposit reaches a cut off level of Rs.s,09~000/-.
Account will be credited by .suitable e~tty'into the software as~o~n as
~heque is,received by CCM/PM. The amount to be deposited and the
, cut off limit can be revised, once the.volume of tickets booked picks
up. This prqj~ctmayIbe imp;lementedon M~mbai Suburban System
w.e.f. 01/04/2006 as a pilot project. Initially this facility will be
~lable
betw~n 0300 hrs. and 2300 hrs. Central Railway will
