Sub: Grant of full concession to unemployed youths travelling to attend
interviews for selection to Central Government jobs

“Os Ag Berrules contained under S.No. 40 of Annexure to rule 101 of IRCA
Coaching Tariff No. 25, Part | (Vol. It), Unemployed youths upte the age of 35
years travelling to attend interviews for a job in Public Sector. Organizations (i.e.
Centra/State Government offices, के Statutory Body, a Municipal Corporation, a
Government Undertaking or a University or Public Sector Bodies) are eligible for

50% concession in Second/Sleeper Class Mail/Express fares on production of
~i“auasted copy of CallLetter and Application submitted by candidate to concerned —

organization, provided! that travelling expenses in part or in full are not being
borne by the concerned organization. In such cases, tickets for to and fro
journeys are issued, the validity of return tickets being 10 days from the date of
onward journey. कि .

2... As announced by MR on 6.7.2004 in his Budget Speech for 2004-05,
Ministry of Railways have decided that. Unemployed Youths upto the age of 35

years travelling to appear in interviews for selection to Central Government Jobs

may be given full concession in basic Mail/Express fares of only Second class

~“(gleéper class excluded). Therefore, nothing, will be chargéd as fare. The

*“cancession will be acinissible in basic fares ‘only, while. all.other charges (i.e.

reservation fee, superfast surcharge, safety surcharge etc.) wil be realized in full.

“The to-and fro ‘tickets at full concession in fares shall be issued by Station

Managers. This concession will be admissible subject to other ‘conditions
” appearing under the rules contained in the above mentioned Coaching Tariff.

3. For “youths travelling to appear for interviews for, other than Central

. Government jobs, i.e. jobs in State Government offices of Govt. undertakings or
‘Universities ‘or Public sector banks, the existing provision for grant of 50%

concession in Second/Sleeper class shall continue. jowever, if a candidate

‘Wants to avail 50% concession instead of full concession, the existing concession

shail continue to be applicable even for Central Government jobs.

5. This issues With the concurrence of.Finance Directorate of Ministry of
Railways. Wide publicity through various media may be given at regular
intervals. Necessary instructions may be issued to all concerned, including

PRSs, immediately and implementation ensured
