As announced by Hon'ble MR on 24.2.2010 in the Budget Speech for 2010-11,
Ministry of Railways have decided to extended the concession in rail travel to
Technicians of Regional Film ID.dustrywhen travelling for film production related
work..
1.
Entitlement:
1.1
For the purpose of concession, only the following shall be treated as Regional
Film Industries

1.2
The concession facility will also be applicable in case of technicians of Hindi
Film Industry.

1.3
For the purpose of concession only those technicians who are registered with
any of the Employees Associations (Annexure-I) would be considered.

For the purpo.seof recommendingthe grant of concession the Producers
Associationmentioned'atAnnexure-IIQruy.wouldbe recognized.
1.5
For the purpose of concession, the following shall be treated as Film
Technicians-

Element of concession:
2.1
The element of concession will be 75% in Sleeper Class and 50010in First Class,
ACChair-Car,AC 3-tierandAC2-Tier.

3.
Admissibility of Concession:
3.1
The concession will be admissible in all trains including Rajdhani, Shatabdi and
JanShambdi trains. The concession will however, not be admissible in Duronto, Yl.lva
and Garib Rath trains.
3.2
This concessionis not valid incase of season tickets, circularjourney tickets
andticketsforlocal/Suburban/passengertrains.
3.3
The concessionwill not be grantedinsidethe train I.e. if the concernedperson
enters the train without proper ticket or extends journey on concessiontickets or
changesthe ticketto h.igherclass,no concessionwillbe grantedinsidethe train.
3.4
Only one concession (film technician/senior citizen, etc) shall be admissible at a
time.
4.
Calculation of concessional fare:
4.1
In case of Rajdhani, Shatabdi and Jan Shatabdi trains, the concession will be
granted on the all inclusive fare of the concerned class.
4.2
In other trains the concession will be calculated in the basic fare and.all other
charges will be levied in full.
5.
Issue of concession certificate and ticket:

The Producer will prepare a list of technicians indicating name, identity card
numbers and name of theEmployee Association (Annexure-I) to which each technician

is affiliated, in the profonna given at Annexure-III; and submit the same to the
nominated Producers Association (Annexure-~I).
5.2
The President/Secretary of the concerned Producers' Association will forward
the application of the Producer to the DRM's Office alongwith the original photo-
identity cards issued by the Employees Association, of all technicians.
5.3
Verification of documents will be done by the DRM's Office, after which a
letter of authorization will be issued by the Railway authorities as per Rule 101 (6) of
IRCA Coaching Tariff No. 25, Part-I (Vol-II). The producer/representative will present
this letter of authorization at the booking counter for issue of tickets.
5.6
The original identity cards should be carried dwing journey for verification by
the TIE/Conductor.
