Fare structure of AC EMU/DEMU/MEMU for single journey tickets @ 1.3 times of the base fare for single journey tickets of First class

Commercial Circular No. 21 of 2019 dated 11.04.2019. y Vide above instructions, fare for AC EMU/DEMU/MEMU was communicated to zonal Railways. Base fare for single journey tickets of AC EMU was fixed 1.3 times of the base fare for single journey tickets of First class. However, as an introductory offer the base fare for AC EMU/DEMU/MEMU was kept 1.2 times of single journey tickets of First Class. 2. Ministry of Railways have now decided to withdraw introductory offer and charge base fare for single journey tickets @ 1.3 times of the base fare for single journey tickets of First class instead of 1.2 times. Accordingly, for issue of season tickets revised base fare for AC EMU/DEMU/MEMU shall be charged. Other applicable supplementary charges like MUTP or any other charges, GST as applicable shall be levied separately. 3. No difference of fare shall be collected on season tickets for AC EMU/DEMU/MEMU already issued. However, in case of up gradation of first class single journey tickets/season tickets into AC EMU/DEMU/MEMU single journey tickets/season tickets, difference of fare shall be collected as per revised base fare. ं 4. There shall be no change in other terms and conditions. 5. The above changes shall be implemented with effect from 01.06.2019. 6. CRIS is requested to make necessary changes in the software. 7. The receipt of this letter may be acknowledged.
