In the Railway Budget 2012-13 presented in Parliament on 14.03.2012, Minister of Railways has announced that the cost . of platform tickets will be now f5.00 (.) Ministry of Railways desires that the rate of platform tickets should be f.5.00 per passenger instead of f. 3.00 (.) The increased rate of platform tickets will be charaed on tickets issued from 01.05.2012 (.) Zonal Railways may print the revised tickets on top priority basis and ensure supply to all stations well in time (.) Till such time the tickets are printed, old stock of tickets may be used with rate corrected with stamp (.) Wherever platform tickets are issued through SPTM & UTS or other machines, their software may be modified (.) This issues with the concurrence of Finance Directorate of Ministry of Railways (.) Action may be taken to make changes in enquiry systems, websites, etc. (.) Necessary instructions may be issued to all concerned immediately and implementation at all stations ensured (.) A.
