Commercial Circular No: 2% 6 of 2002

Sub: Provision of free food to infants less than five years of age, travelling in Rajdhani ard Shatabdi Express trains.

During his Railway. Budget. Speech. 2002-03,... Hon’ble..Minister—of -Railways-----—-——-.——-

pronounced that free food will be provided to infants of less than five years of age, travelling in Rajdhani/Shatabdi Express trains. Accordingly, all Zonal Railways must ensure that baby food free of charge is provided to infants in Rajdhani/Shatabdi Express trains

The free food should. include branded baby food items like Farex, Cerelac etc.

and items covered in standard menu like fresh fruit, bread-butter, milk, biscuits, cornflakes etc. Se

In case of departmental catering, the cost of the food shall be borneby the | railways. In case of catering services by licensee the cost will be borreby licensee and no reimbursement shall be made by railways. Zonal Railways shall have a clause © regarding provision of free food to infants travelling in Rajdhani/Shatabdi Express trains; in the agreements with the licensees

These orders will come into force with IMMEDIATE EFFECT
