Modern Luggage Trolleys at important stations the scheme of Modern Luggage Trolley, through “Rail Yatri Sevaks" which was

Ref: (i) Commercial Circular No.37/2013 dated 03.05.2013. (ii) CCM/SE Rly's 0.0. Letter No.G.26/785/AM/IV dated 28.03.14 This has reference to CCM/SE Rly's proposal for including Ranchi in the list of stations where facility of Modern Luggage Trolley are to be operated through 'Rail Yatri Sevaks'. It may be mentioned that as per Board's CC No.37/2013 dated 03.05.2013 the scheme of Modern Luggage Trolley, through “Rail Yatri Sevaks" which was available only at Howrah and Sealdah, will be discontinued from 06.05.2014 and the luggage trolleys shall be handed over to licensed porters for their operation. With the discontinuance of the scheme of “Rail Yatri Sevaks’ provision of Modern Luggage Trolleys at any station will, therefore, have to be processed in terms of para (ii) to (v) of Commercial Circular No.37/2013. For further promotion of the scheme of Modern Luggage Trolleys and improving the passenger facilities, it has been decided to extend the scope of CC.No.37/2013 to all Zonal Railways.. Zonal Railways may identify ii s suitable for this purpose, based on the assessed need and feasibility and intr@duce the trolleys under the scheme as per the terms and conditions outlined in Commercial Circular No.37/2013.
