An Act titled “The Cigarettes and other Tobacco products
(Prohibition of Advertisement and Regulation of Trade and Commerce,
Production, Supply and Distribution) Act, 2003 (copy enclosed) has been
passed by the Parliament and the: 1" day of May, 2004 has been appointed as
the date on which the provisions of Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6(a), 12(4)(b), 12
(2), 13(1(b), 13(2), 14, 16, 19, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30 and 31
of the said Act shall come into force.

Please ensure compliance under intimation ta this office.
