No.TCII/2196/99/Policy (.) As per rules contained in S. No. 25 & 29 (1) of
Annexure to rule 101 of IRCA Coaching Tariff No. 25, Part I (Vol. II), one escort for
every Orthopaedically handicapped/paraplegic person or Mentally Retarded
person is compulsory for availing concession (.) In relaxation of these rules,
Ministry of Railways have decided that one escort may be allowed for two
Orthopaedically handicapped/paraplegic or Mentally Retarded persons, on
production of a written request from the escort that he/she is accompanying
the concerned two Handicapped/paraplegic or Mentally Retarded persons (.)
Combined ticket for all the three persons shall be issued directly from PRS
(.) Under this relaxation, only Reserved, RAC & Waiting list tickets shall be
issued (.) These instructions will come into effect on tickets issued from 1st
May, 2007 (.) The requisite concession certificates for both the Orthopaedically
handicapped/paraplegic persons or Mentally Retarded persons shall continue to
be produced (.) There is no change in other provisions of the rules contained in
the above quoted serial numbers (.) Necessary instructions may be issued to all
concerned immediately (.) CRIS is being asked to modify the software accordingly
(.) This issues with the concurrence of Finance Directorate of Ministry of Railways
(.) This disposes off Northern Railway’s letter No. 1-RTA/O/Genl. Policy/Pt.VII
