Apropos to above subject, please find enclosed herewith copy of ARN No. 07 (Coaching) of 2024 in connection with rationalization of time limit for collection of refund of fare on tickets cancelled through 139 or through IRCTC. The currency of Commercial Circular No. 13 of 2023 dated 14.08.2023 has been extended for another period of one year i.e. up to 29.02.2025 on experimental basis.

All concerned are requested to furnish the impact of above changes to this office by

25.11.2024.

Vide Commercial Circular no.13 of 2023 dated 14.08.2023, issued to all concerned vide this office ARN No. 16 (Coaching) of 2023 dated 25.08.2023 wherein time limit for collection of refund of fare on Counter tickets cancelled through 139 or through IRCTC has been rationalized on an experimental basis for six months. The matter has been reviewed and it has been decided to extend the currency of Commercial Circular No 13 of 2023 dated 14.08.2023 on an experimental basis for an another period of one year i.e. upto 29.02.2025.

2. Division are requested to furnish the impact of above changes to this office by 30.11.2024 for further review.

This issues with concurrence of Finance Directorate of Ministry of Railways.

CRIS and IRCTC may take necessary changes in this regard.

5. Necessary instructions may please be issued to all concerned.

Ensure action accordingly and confirm.
