Sub: Revision of Reservation Fee.

Ministry of Raitways have decided to revise the Reservation Fee leviable
on tickets booked for journeys originating from other than the ticket booking
station, like return tickets, onward journey tickets, etc.

2. For travel by ali trains except Rajdhani, Shatabdi & Jan Shatabdi Express
trains, the revised reservation fee, leviable on tickets booked for journeys -
originating from other than the ticket booking station, is shown-below =

3.1 For travei by Rajdhani, Shatabdi & Jan Shatabdi Express trains also, the
in Reservation Fee will be applicable on tickets issued for journeys
Originating from other than the ticket booking stations. oo,

3.2 The additional reservation fee for such tickets, to be added additionally’ in
the basic fares shown in Passenger Fare Table, is shown below :- i

4. There is no change in reservation fee teviable on tickets issued in the
following cases : .

(i) For journey originating from the ticket booking station, the sateilite
locations of PRS, which are linked to a particular booking station of a PRS, will
be treated as booking station to which they are defined as satellite location.

(ii) | The booking offices in remote non-rail head locations, will also be
treated as booking offices serving their rail-head city. In these cases, when ticket
has been issued for joumeys originating from the rail-head station serving them
the existing reservation fee will continue to be levied. Example - Katra (Non-Rail
Head PRS) has been defined as satellite location of JAMMU TAWI BOOKING .
STATION. When a ticket is issued from Katra for journey commencing from.
JAMMU TAWI, the existing reservation fee will continue to be levied. However,

when PRS ticket is issued at Katra for journey originating from other than JAT . -

station, enhanced reservation fee will be levied

(iii) Out agencies having manual reservation quota will continue to
issue reserved tickets at existing reservation charges

5. This will be applicable to all tickets issued prospectively. This will also be
applicabie when old tickets are modified fully or partially .

6. CRIS may make necessary changes in the PRS software immediately and
advise the earliest probable date from which the above instructions can ‘be
implemented

7. Date of implementation of these instructions will be advised shortly after
necessary modifications are made in PRS software.

8. Necessary instructions may be issued to all concerned and
implementation ensured at all ticket booking offices on receipt of date of
implementation from Board. Similat action should be taken to make changes था
passenger information systems at all places including enquiry systems websites
etc. when the scheme is implemented

9, This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Directorate of the Ministry

of Railways.
