As announced by MR on 26.2.05 in his Budget Speech for 2005-06, Ministry
of Railways have.decided that the girls studying in Government schools situated in
rural areas will be granted 75% concession in Second Class;fares when travelling
to appear in National Level Entrance Examinationfor Medical" E'ngineering and
,Qttler Professional Courses which afe conducted by National le~el Institutes or
Bodies of Governmentof India. The Head Master/Head'Mistress/Principalwill
issuea certificateto,the effectthat their schoolis a GovernmentScho01locatedin
rural area and that the concemedGirl studentof their school is requiredto go to
(name of city) for appearing in National Level Entrance examination for
professionalcourseconductedby the Institutes/Bodiesas mention$dabove. The
concessionalreturnjourney tickets shall be issueddirectly,by:StationManager of
nearest originating station on production of the above" mentioned certificate
alongwitha,photo copy of Admit Card or Callietterfor't~e'
concerned entrance
examination.The periodof validityof returnticketwill be oh~ monttifrom the date
of commencementof outwardjourney. This concessionwUlbeg:ranted in Second
classonlyandnot in.,sleeperclass. The concessionwill b$ adrnissiblein basic
MaillExpressfares only while all other charges (i.e.r~servati6~, fee, superfast
surcharge, safety surcharge. etc.) will be realized in1ull.
Concession will be
admissiblesubject,to other rules containedin IRCA CoachingTariff No. 25, Part I
. (Vol.II).
