Ref: HQ’s letter no. C 157/7/RailOne App ticketing (e-file 725225) dated 20.07.2026.

Apropos to the above, please find enclosed herewith a copy of HQ’s letter under reference in connection with extension of provision of benefit of 3% on booking of unreserved tickets through all digital payment modes on the RailOne App upto

31.03.2027 except through R-Wallet. There shall be no change in the existing system of providing 3% bonus as cash back on booking of unreserved tickets through R-Wallet which has already been extended upto 24.08.2028.

Further the proliferation of unreserved ticketing through the RailOne App needs to be accelerated as the share of ticket booking through the RailOne App has not shown significant growth.

In view of the above sectional DCMIs/CMIs are instructed to arrange to conduct promotional campaign for proliferation of RailOne App and take necessary measures for promotion of mobile ticketing through the RailOne App. Further CBSs and UTS cum PRS incharges are also instructed to closely monitor the share of non-counter mode passengers vis-a-vis total passengers at each station.

2. Commercial Circular No. 10 of 2026

Apropos to the above subject, Railway Board has extended the benefit of 3% on booking of unreserved tickets through all digital payment modes on the RailOne App, except through R-Wallet, up to 31.03.2027.

There shall be no change in the existing system of providing 3% bonus as cashback in respect of booking of unreserved tickets through R-Wallet on the RailOne App, which has already been extended up to 24.08.2028 vide Commercial Circular No. 10 of 2026.

Further, Railway Board has emphasized that the proliferation of unreserved ticketing through the RailOne App needs to be accelerated, as the share of ticket booking through the app has not shown significant growth. Accordingly, all Divisions are advised to take necessary measures for promotion of mobile ticketing through the RailOne App and to closely monitor the share of non-counter mode passengers vis-à-vis total passengers at each station.

Necessary instructions may be issued to all concerned to ensure wide publicity and effective implementation of the above provisions.
