Conimercial Circular No. i . Sub: Wearing of uniforms by ticket checking staff. कक काला लक rt ow All the ticket checking staff both on trains and at stations arc supposcd to wear uniforms. However, exception is made in case of statf working in the various squads and doing checking as per programmes of the squads both scheduled and unscheduled. The matter of wearing of uniform by the staff of squads has been considered in the ioard’s. office and it is felt that the staff of the squads except Board squad and CCM Squad should wear uniforms en account of the following reasons:- (i) Some incidents of unscrupulous cletucitls posing as TTEs have volte io notice wherein these persons posing as TTEs demand tickets from the passengers on the pretest of cxamining the same before the train leaves the station and subsequently they have been obtaining refunds thereby cheating the bonafide passengers. The passengers are put to a lot of harassment for no fault of theirs, (ii) The Squad TTEs while wearing unifoans would have a deicucul effevi on the ticketlesa travellers.as they would reflect the presence of the organistion. (ii) Wearing of uniforms by the staff would help in easy identification of the staff working in the various squads and thereby minimise the chances of bad elements bringing bad name-to the entire squad.
