Fare structure of AC EMU First class suburban single journey ticket holders shall be allowed to travel in AC

Ref.1: Commercial circular no. 85 of 2017 dated 22.12.2017 Ref.2: WR letter No. C.175/1(AC EMU trains) dated 10.01.2018. in continuation of Commercial Circular no. 85 of 2017 dated 22.12.2017, Ministry of Railways further desire that First Class Monthly Season Tickets holders shall be allowed to travel in AC EMU services as per the following terms and conditions:- (i). In order to facilitate the First class MST holders to travel in AC EMU, the difference of fare between First Class Monthly Season Ticket and AC Monthly Season Ticket shall be collected for the entire month irrespective of the days left in First class MST and the validity of the same shail be as per the validity of First Class MST only. (ii). This facility shall be extended through booking counters i.e UTS for which CRIS will make necessary changes. Till software changes is made by CRIS, manual EFT/BPTs shall be issued through Chief Booking Supervisor (CBS), (iit). First class suburban single journey ticket holders shall be allowed to travel in AC EMU and TTE shall collect the difference of fare without any penalty. (iv). This facility shali be extended for a limited period /.e till the period of discounted fare @1.2 times of FAC base fare ie upto 26.06.2018. (v) Since presently MST ticket is available in AC EMU the facility shall be extended to First class MST ticket holders only. (vi) MUTP charges shall not be collected separately as the same is already collected at the time of issuance of First Class MST. (vil) Requisite number of TTE shail be deputed to coliect the difference of fare between first class fare and AC EMU fare for single journey. 2. The above shall be implemented with immediate effect, 3. CRIS is requested to make necessary changes in the software. 4» The receipt of this letter may be acknowledged.
