(Commercial Circular No. 5 of 2000) Sub: Release of berths out of emergency quota for duty/ privilege/ post retirement complementary pass holders. eee Kindly refer to this office letter of even No. dated 09.02.1998 wherein it was advised that those officials who are entitled to travel in AC 2 tier and AC Ist class mav be allowed to place their name on the waiting list to the extent of 10 persons in AC 2 tier and 4 persons in AC I class 2. Earlier there was no provision for issue of tickets in Rajdhani/Shatabdi Express trains on. the authority of PTOs. However, w.e.f, 31.07.1998 PTOs issued to railway officers/staff have been made valid for travel for the entitled class in Rajdbani/Shatabdi Express trains on payment of usual PTO fare subject to total pass quota defined for each train 3. In view of changed circumstances, the matter was reviewed in the Ministry of Raikvays (Railway Board) and it has been decided that :- i) waiting list ticket in AC 2 tier and AC Ist class of Rajdhani Express trains and Executive Class of Shatabdi Express train should be issued against duty/ privilege/ post retirement complementary pass without any waiting list limit. ii) In Chair Car of Shatabdi Express trains and 3AC of Rajdhani Express trains where 50% of the duty pass holders quota is available at the counter for booking on first come first served basis and the remaining 50% is utilised like emergency quota, wattmg list tickets will be issued without any limit after 50% of quota earmarked at the counter has been exhausted The waiting list so prescribed in Chair Car, AC 3 tier, 2 AC and Executive Class of these trains as mentioned in para 3(i) & (i) above, should be separate waiting list apart from the general waiting List. “Bb- Copy to: 1, CCM(PS)s कै CCM(PM)s, all Zonal Railways. 2.
