Sub: Provision of Facilities in TTE rest house at par with that of
running rooms of guard/loco pilots.

Ref: This office letter no. 2018/TG-V/1/3 (Pt. ता) dated 10.12.2018
(CC No. 71 of 2018), 11.09.2019, 19.04.2021, 16.12.2021, 11.05.2022,
30.05.2022, 29.07.2022, 23.01.2023, 19.04.2023, 26.04.2024 and
14.02.2025

Vide letters referred above, instructions have been issued for provision of facilities
(including catering facilities) in TTE rest houses at par with that of running rooms of
guard/loco pilots. These instructions have been issued with approval of Finance Directorate
of Ministry of Railways. The issue regarding non-provision of facilities at TTE rest house at
par with that of running rooms of guard/loco pilots is being raised by Federations from time
to time.

2 The status report on the compliance of CC no. 71 of 2018 was sought vide this
office i-bid letters. A Google sheet had also been provided to all Zonal Railways vide this
office letters, which is reproduced below

3. As per this sheet, out of 278 TTE Rest Houses, cooking facilities have been provided
only at 139 TTE Rest Houses. It is desired that the cooking facilities at par with that of
running room of guards/ loco pilots should be provided at all TTE Rest Houses by
30.09.2025. Google Sheet may please be updated on regular basis and quarter-wise updated
report on the compliance of this office letter of even number dated 10.12.2018 (CC no. 71
of 2018) inter-alia giving location-wise details of facilities provided at TTE Rest Houses
