West Central Railway vide their above referred letters had requested for granting of
d for commercial exploitation by licensing for 4

permission fer utilization of railway vacant lan
period of 5 years at ORH of SECR near Howbagh Railway colony, Jabalpur under Unsolicited Non-
Fare Revenue proposals issued vide CC 02 of 2017 dated 10.01.2017. The matter has been examined

in consultation with Land & Amenities Directorate of Railway Board. In this regard, Land and
Amenities Directorate has advised that in view of Cabinet decision regarding land use on Railways
premises for short term land licensing under Unsolicited Non-Fare Revenue proposal cannot be
granted to the Railways, as such necessary corrections in the aforesaid policy may be carried out
with prospective effect. .

2 In view of above, the following decision has been taken by the Board (MT, ME, & CRB):

2.1 Para 1.3 of policy on Unsolicited Non-Fare Revenue proposal is modified and may be read as

under:
“This policy is applicable for all departments receiving an unsolicited proposal for
enhancement of revenues of the Railways, especially the non-fare revenue such as
advertising etc. where no policy exists’

licensing” are excluded from the scope of Unsolicited NER proposals policy.

3: The above Para 2.1 modified Policy will apply with prospective effect.
