Sub: Booking of reserved tickets by Hon’ble Members of Parliament,

At present, Hon’ble Members of Parliament have been allowed to book reserved tickets th rough computerised Passenger Reservation System (PRS) counters of Indian Railways on the wathonty of Identity Card issued to them by Lok Sabha/Rajya Sabha Secretariais. An analysis of bookings meds by Hon*ble MPs for themselves, their spouse and companion has revealed that in many cases, the age of Hon’ble MPs, their spouse and

-ompanion is not being indicated. This phenomenon has also been sbserved in booking of tickets for Hon’ble MPs on phone. Tn connection with an Audit objection raised againsi Rajya Sabha Secretariat regarding Jebirs for joumeys performed by sitting and former Parliamentatians, it has

oeen requested that all possible journey related details of Hon'ble MPs, their spouse/companion should be taken at the time of booking of reserved ticke*s for them.

It is, therefore, desired that necessary instructions may be issued to ell concerned that at the time of booking of reserved tickets for Hon’ble १9५, their spouse/companion across PRS counters or through phone, polite ‘sques: Should be niade to them (0 give all necessary particulars including he ase of the passengers to be booked on the ticket. In case : 15 nol ‘cesible to give the age of the companion, the age of Hon’ble MPs and ais/her spouse should be indicated while booking the reserved tickets for
