rgg' t*** Consequent upon the recommendations of 7th CPC, instructions were issued vide Board's letlers No,2016lF(E)llll1(1)17 dated 10.08.2016 and 22'05'2A17 ' regarding revision of pension/iamily ' pension of pre-2016 pensioners/family pensioners. A number of references have been received in this office for reckoning of charge Allovrance for the purpose of notional fixalion of pay and accordingly revision of pension t'r.e.f. 01.01 .2016' z.
The true nature of charge allowance was earlier considered by the Board and ii \i,as ciecided that the charge allowance, which is actually in the nature of pay restricted under FR-3s. snouto be reckoned as'Pay'as defined in Rule 1303(FR- 91t2111a){'i R-l116'- Edirion and as such, it rvould count as pay for the purposes of pensicn. gratuity e.ic" as vuerI as for reave encashmenl.
