'fhe aioresaid anomaly in thc instructions datcd 22.09,2fi14 ibid has lead ro a number of cr:urt cases in th€ matler of prr:mrstions in the category of 'Irack Maintainers.
In vierv of thr abovc, to r:bviatc arising of such ambiguity in thc rrlattcr, it is clarified that instructjons contained in Jcttcr Nn. 20lA/Cf."l/Spl)/ CNS/lsPt,l dared 22.09.2014 is meant to sholv only thc standard/usual assignmcnt r:f dutics in thc varicus grades of Track N'laintainers category and it may be disringuished frorn the AVC and normal resirtency period for promotion in this categoryr rvhich is laid down in Board's Ietter No. E0{GX/2012/?M 5/l dated I3,08.2013 and lcttcr of same number dated 14.10.2014.
trn case of similar issue arising in future Court cases, the aforesaid clari.hcation may be brought to norice wlrile defrnding fhe matter.
