Sub:- Benchmarking of Manpower Productivity Ratios: Report of October 12 • The Manpower Productivity Ratios (MPRs) of 15 selected activities listed below are presented graphically with a brief analysis as per the data received from Zonal Railways. Diesel Loco Sheds Electric Loco Sheds P. Way Coaching Depot DEMU and EMU Sheds Building Wagon ROH Depot TRD IOW(Bridges) Signal Elec. Power Accounts Telecom Medical Personnel • Benchmarking is based on dynamic and comparative analysis and thus is a very useful tool to manage efficient deployment of staff and monitor effects of improvement in working practices, use of new technologies and level of out sourcing. Board in successive meetings have directed all units to achieve average of the Indian Railway Benchmark. CRB vide DO letter no. Dte. link. ** : 8 sheds(PA, TKD, LKO, BGKT, GY, R, KJM & SBI) are working with a mix of ALCO & EMD Locos and hence not considered as Benchmark CURRENT IR AVERAGE: 3.64 Men per Loco. CURRENT BENCHMARK: Hubli shed (UBL) of SWR at 3.38. EXCEEDING THE AVERAGE: Only 1 Shed is above the current IR average. DIESEL LOCOMOTIVE SHEDS CURRENT IR AVERAGE: 5.65 Men per Loco. CURRENT BENCHMARK: BZA shed of SCR at 3.74 EXCEEDING THE AVERAGE: 5 Sheds are above the current IR average. CURRENT IR AVERAGE: 5.62 Men per Loco. CURRENT IR AVERAGE: 5.08 Men per Loco. CURRENT BENCHMARK: Shakurbasti(SSB) of NR at 3.59. EXCEEDING THE AVERAGE: 10 Sheds are above the current IR average. CURRENT BENCHMARK: Kazipet(KZJ) shed of SCR at 4.69 EXCEEDING THE AVERAGE: 10 Diesel Loco Sheds are above the current IR average.
