Sub.: Promotions to Group 'B' posts on Indian Railways -Introduction of 
Centralized Computer Based Multiple Choice Obiective type examination 
CBT) in all departments having Organised Services. 
Ref.: Board's letter no.EIGP)2022/2/4 dated 7.11.2022. 
Please refer to Board's letter of even number dated 7.11.2022 prescribing 
syllabi of 70% Selections and 30% LDCEs held for promotion to Group 'B' posts 
along with syllabus of Financial & Establishment Rules. 
inclusion of optional questions on Official Language Policy and Official Language 
Rules for 10 marks in 70% Selections and 15 marks in 30% LDCEs is applicable for 
all Organised Departments (except Accounts) as laid down in Board's letters of even 
number dated 28.06.2022 and 7.10.2022. However, in Accounts Department, these 
optional questions are for 15 marks each in both 70% Selection and 30% LDCE.
